The T4 is Cervelo's UCI-legal track race frameset, designed for velodrome competition from sprint to endurance events. It made its mark at the London 2012 Olympics and continued to deliver medals at Rio 2016. The frame draws from the same TrueAero airfoil library as Cervelo's road bikes — the down tube changes cross-section shape as it descends to the bottom bracket, optimising airflow at each point. The dropped down tube and notched fork crown create an extremely tight aerodynamic package at the front of the bike.

Specifikacijos

Rėmas
High-modulus carbon fiber; TrueAero airfoil tube library; Smartwall construction (redistributes material around tube cross-section for stiffness); bottom bracket gusset boosts stiffness and lowers drag
Svoris
kg
Transmisija
Track single-speed; standard track BB and chainline; English bottom bracket shell; compatible with most track cranks
Stabdžiai
No brakes (track/velodrome only; fixed gear)
Ratai
700c; frame accommodates standard track tubular or clincher wheels with bolt-on track dropouts

Verdiktas

+Stiprybės
  • Proven Olympic-level performance — medals at London and Rio validate the aerodynamic and structural design
  • TrueAero tube library gives it an aero advantage over conventional track frames that use round or simple oval tubes
  • English BB shell provides broad drivetrain compatibility for track builds
Trūkumai
  • Velodrome-only — no braze-ons, no ability to run brakes or gears; zero road versatility
  • Fixed-gear geometry feels aggressive; not appropriate for casual riders venturing onto a track for the first time
  • The T5GB exists for teams wanting the absolute maximum — the T4 is second-best within Cervelo's own lineup
