Verdiktas
+Stiprybės
- Exceptionally lightweight carbon frame — sub-900g at its peak, competitive with the best in the world
- G2 Geometry provided excellent handling for 29" wheels — specifically optimized fork offset
- Stiff frame with good power transfer — efficient climber
- Pioneer of the 29er XC movement — helped prove big wheels could race
−Trūkumai
- Harsh ride on rough terrain — pure race focus meant minimal comfort features (no IsoSpeed/IsoBow)
- 2x drivetrain persisted through 2017 when industry had moved to 1x — the bike was aging
- Late-model switch to 27.5" wheels was seen as a misstep — the Superfly was synonymous with 29er racing
- Carbon seatpost on 2015 FS models had safety recall (cracking/breaking risk)

Pirkėjo pastabos
№ 01
DISCONTINUED MODEL — only available on the used market. Expect prices significantly below original MSRP. Carbon models in good condition still command respect due to their exceptional frame weight.
№ 02
Check the seatpost on any 2015 Superfly FS model — there was a safety recall for cracking Bontrager Carbon seatposts. Serial numbers ending in J or K were affected.
№ 03
The 2017 models came with 2x10 drivetrains — converting to modern 1x12 is a popular and worthwhile upgrade that also saves weight
№ 04
Parts compatibility note: BB95 press-fit bottom bracket is specific to Trek — ensure replacement bearings are available before purchasing. UDH hangers are NOT used (older pre-UDH hanger system).
№ 05
Early Gary Fisher-branded Superfly models (2008-2011) may have collector value beyond their functional worth — especially in good condition with original components
№ 06
Estonian forum data shows the Superfly was extremely popular locally (39 mentions — highest of any Trek model). This means good availability on the Estonian used market but also that well-maintained examples may command premium prices.
№ 07
Natural upgrade path from Superfly: Trek Procaliber (hardtail successor) or Trek Top Fuel (if coming from Superfly FS). Both are in current production.
