Kilmė

The Corum is De Rosa's steel artisan road bike, built as an explicit homage to Italian racing tradition. Using 18MCDV6 chromoly — a high-grade chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloy — the Corum brings the lively, vibration-absorbing ride feel of steel in a design refined over decades of Italian road racing culture. The 30-size range and made-to-measure option mean no two Corums need be identical.

Verdiktas

+Stiprybės
  • 18MCDV6 chromoly delivers the classic steel compliance and vibration damping prized by long-distance riders
  • Made-to-measure and 30-size range offer genuine fit flexibility unavailable from mass-produced brands
  • Repairable and long-lived — steel frames can be straightened and rewelded, unlike carbon monocoques
Trūkumai
  • At ~1,700 g frame weight it is substantially heavier than De Rosa's carbon offerings — physics of material density
  • Limited to ~28 mm tyres on rim-brake version — narrow by modern gravel/all-road standards
  • Premium artisan pricing for a material that is cheap per kilogram — the value is the craft, not the steel
