X2
Origin
Dualtron is the performance line of Minimotors, a South Korean manufacturer founded in Seoul that became the benchmark for high-power electric scooters in the late 2010s. The original Dualtron X (2019) was the brand's 'no compromises' halo product — the biggest, fastest and farthest scooter Minimotors had built. The X2, announced on 28 October 2021, was pitched as the 'rebirth of the legendary Dualtron X': it kept the twin-hub-motor formula but added a wider and more rigid stem, a larger battery, refined EY3 electronics and improved switchgear. In 2024 Minimotors revised the platform again as the X2 UP, swapping in denser 72V 45Ah CN5000 cells and the newer EY4 display. Across the Baltic and wider European market the X2 is distributed through specialist Dualtron dealers (Dualtron Europe, Fatdaddy, and regional shops) rather than mainstream retail, reflecting its niche as a top-of-the-range enthusiast machine.
Specifications
- Frame

- Weight
- kg
- Brakes
- Hydraulic disc front + rear (160 mm) with patented magnetic ABS
The verdict
- Immense dual-motor power (8300W peak) with smooth, progressive acceleration and strong hill-climbing
- Genuinely long real-world range (~96-150 km) and best-in-class 19-step adjustable hydraulic suspension on 13" tyres
- Hydraulic brakes with ABS plus a heavy, planted, aerospace-alloy frame that feels stable at speed
- Extremely heavy (~66 kg) and large — not portable, hard to store or transport
- Very expensive flagship pricing and long ~8 h standard charge time
- Only IP54 rated — riding in the wet risks water ingress; the EY3 display feels dated versus modern LCDs

- Original 'rebirth of the Dualtron X' with wider stem and refined electronics.
X2 UP (2024+ revision)
