Origin
The AtomX was BH's statement that an e-MTB doesn't have to look like an e-MTB. When it launched, most competitors wore their motors and batteries visibly; BH's Ballistic Carbon HCIM frame buries the 720 Wh battery and Brose S Mag motor inside a frame that reads as a conventional full-suspension carbon bike until you look closely. The X-System design language — clean lines, integrated wiring, hidden details — was a deliberate design brief to appeal to riders who wanted motor assistance without the e-bike aesthetic.

The verdict
+Strengths
- 90 Nm Brose motor and 720 Wh battery is a powerful, long-range combination
- HCIM Ballistic Carbon frame at 2,350 g is light for an e-enduro bike
- Clean X-System design hides electronics behind genuinely premium carbon aesthetics
−Weaknesses
- Brose ecosystem is less widely serviced than Bosch or Shimano in many markets
- iConnect app functionality is limited compared to Bosch's eBike Flow system
- 720 Wh battery is integrated — not easily swappable for longer rides
