Происхождение
Запущенная в 2020 году, Caledonia стала первой специализированной платформой Cervelo для эндуранса/вседорожных велосипедов — намеренно «приглушенный» гоночный велосипед с увеличенной колесной базой, более пологой геометрией и серьезным зазором для шин, названный в честь шотландского слова, обозначающего суровый север. Caledonia-5 находится над ней как флагманское оружие для классик и брусчатки: в ранней версии она использовалась в гонках Париж-Рубе и Страде Бьянке. Обновление 2024-2025 годов увеличило зазор с 34 до 36 мм для шин (или 34 мм с крыльями), добавило бардачок в нижней трубе с откидной крышкой и индивидуальными чехлами, а также сбросило 53 г с рамы. На стандартной Caledonia по-прежнему используется классическая резьбовая каретка T47a для удобства обслуживания — намеренное отступление от пресс-фита S5/R5.
