Growler

Kilmė

The Growler arrived in 2018 to stake Rocky Mountain's claim on the modern 29" trail hardtail movement — a category defined by wide tires, slack angles, and frame geometry borrowed from full-suspension bikes. Rather than building a do-everything compromise, Rocky Mountain engineered the Growler around a single idea: 29x2.6" tires that roll fast and grip hard. Internal cable routing, Boost spacing, and dropper compatibility made it feel like a modern trail rig, not a budget entry point.

Verdiktas

+Stiprybės
  • Wide 29x2.6" tires deliver trail-hardtail comfort and grip
  • Slack 64° head angle gives confident, modern feel — not an XC bike
  • Fully internal routing and Boost spacing give it a premium, future-proof build quality
Trūkumai
  • Aluminium-only limits weight savings versus carbon competitors
  • No rear suspension — chunky terrain punishes the body on longer rides
  • SR Suntour forks on entry builds limit performance ceiling
