Safety
Most deals on URBALT go smoothly. A few rules keep it that way.
Red flags to watch for
- Price is dramatically below market — if a €3000 bike is listed for €400, something's wrong.
- Seller refuses to meet in person or won't send more photos.
- Pressure to pay "deposit" before you see the item.
- Seller asks to move the conversation off-platform before you've agreed on anything.
- Generic stock-looking photos with no real background.
- Listing copy-pasted from another site (you can reverse image search).
Report a listing or user
- On any listing, click Report.
- Pick the reason: scam, prohibited item, wrong category, spam, other.
- Add details. More context = faster response.
- Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours, usually much faster.
Warnings and blocks
If someone breaks the rules, moderators may issue a warning visible only to that user. Repeated issues lead to a suspension or permanent ban. If a user is blocked, their listings disappear and they can't message you.
If something goes wrong
Open a support ticket at /panel/support or email [email protected]. Include the listing URL and any screenshots.
Behind the scenes
URBALT also runs automated checks on every new listing — looking for patterns that often show up in multi-account fraud, like the same phone number appearing on different accounts or near-identical listings across accounts. Suspicious ones get held for moderator review. See trust & safety for the full explanation.
What can't be sold here
Some categories are off-limits regardless of price or condition — stolen items, weapons, counterfeits, items without proper certification. The full list is on Prohibited items. If you see a listing that breaks these rules, use Report.
