Origin
The Mustang sits a rung above the Rambler in Romet's mountain-bike range — a sportier hardtail built on a lighter 6061 X-Lite aluminium frame. Higher trims pair a Suntour XCT 100 mm fork with lockout, Shimano Deore 1x11 gearing and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with centre-lock rotors, dropping weight to around 14.5 kg. It's aimed at riders who want a genuine trail hardtail rather than a path-and-park leisure bike, while keeping Romet's made-in-Poland value.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Lighter X-Lite frame and better forks than the Rambler
- Top trims offer modern Shimano Deore 1x11 and hydraulic discs
- Strong value for a capable made-in-Poland trail hardtail
−Weaknesses
- Still a hardtail — limited on rough, technical descents
- Lower trims drop to basic forks and 2x8 drivetrains
- No carbon option; aluminium-only keeps weight off elite XC levels
