Origin
The ProRace is Lapierre's cross-country hardtail, a line that has chased XC race weight and stiffness for over a decade. The carbon ProRace CF stands out for its triple-triangle rear triangle, which Lapierre uses to introduce extra vertical compliance into an otherwise rigid race frame. The top UD SLI Team layup drops the frame to a claimed ~845 g in size M, pairing featherweight build with modern, slacker-than-old-school XC geometry for explosive acceleration on demanding trails and marathons.
