GTR Team
Algupära
Wilier Triestina is one of cycling's oldest surviving marques, founded in Bassano del Grappa in 1906 by Pietro Dal Molin. The name blends 'W. l'Italia liberata e redenta' (Long live Italy, liberated and redeemed) — patriotic sloganeering that, together with the famous copper-ramato paint, made prewar Wiliers instantly recognisable. After decades of racing heritage the brand was revived in the modern era and today builds a full carbon road, gravel and TT range from Italy. The GTR line arrived around 2015 as Wilier's dedicated endurance platform: it took the geometry DNA of the race-focused Cento1 and softened it slightly — a touch more stack, a touch less reach — so club riders and sportive fans could get the handling of a Wilier race bike without the punishing all-day position. The GTR Team sits below the top-end GTR SL, using a lower-modulus 46/30-ton carbon layup that keeps the frame near a kilo while holding the price down, and over its long life it was offered in an unusually wide spread of groupsets and, later, in a flat-mount disc-brake version.
Tehnilised andmed
- Raam
- Carbon monocoque, 46/30-ton Mitsubishi carbon blend; claimed frame weight ~1,190 g
- Kaal
- kg
- Jõuülekanne
- 11-speed. Build-dependent: Shimano 105 R7000, Shimano Ultegra, or Campagnolo Athena/Potenza/Centaur; typically compact 50/34 with 11-28 (Campagnolo builds 12-29). Di2/EPS ready (internal routing)
- Pidurid
- Rim-brake versions: dual-pivot caliper (e.g. Shimano 105/Ultegra or Campagnolo). Disc versions: flat-mount hydraulic disc (Shimano 105/Ultegra)

Verdikt
- Lively, responsive handling that punches above its endurance billing — closer to a race bike than most rivals
- Light, quality carbon frame (~1,190 g) with genuine compliance and good vibration damping
- Wide choice of groupsets across the years, including full Campagnolo builds for the Italian purist
- Entry builds pair the good frame with basic wheels/tyres and non-series chainsets — the frame outclasses the finishing kit
- Selle Italia X1 stock saddle drew repeated criticism for comfort on longer rides
- Disc versions carry noticeable extra weight vs pricier rivals, and use bolted thru-axles (tools needed) rather than quick-release
Põlvkonnad
Rim-brake era (~2015-2019)
- Original GTR Team: lighter overall, QR wheels, many Campagnolo build options (Athena/Potenza/Centaur) alongside Shimano 105/Ultegra.
- Pidurid
- dual-pivot caliper rim
Disc-brake era (~2018 onward)
- GTR Team Disc adds all-weather braking and a stiffer thru-axle chassis, at ~1 kg weight penalty; rim versions continued in parallel at the value end.
- Pidurid
- flat-mount hydraulic disc
