Origin
Launched in 2018 as Winora's entry into e-MTB territory, the Yakun has evolved from a trekking-oriented hardtail into a capable trail bike. The 2024 Yakun X10 reflects the shift to Bosch Smart System — delivering 85 Nm from the Performance CX motor into an 800 Wh battery platform that suits multi-hour rides.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Bosch CX 85 Nm motor provides serious trail performance rarely found at this price tier
- 800 Wh battery is class-leading for range on extended trail rides
- Shimano CUES LinkGlide drivetrain handles e-bike torque better than standard MTB drivetrains
−Weaknesses
- Only 80 mm fork travel limits technical trail capability compared to 120–140 mm travel competitors
- SR Suntour fork is functional but not as well-regarded as RockShox or Fox at similar price points
- Hardtail platform transmits more rough-trail vibration than full-suspension e-MTBs
