Origin
The Wessex is Whyte's interpretation of the endurance road bike: a full carbon frame designed for confidence-inspiring handling in wet, British conditions. Unlike most carbon road bikes, the Wessex ships with mudguard clearance and 30mm tubeless tires — a practical choice for riders who ride year-round. The carbon construction uses Whyte's multi-monocoque layup, making it a notable value proposition compared to larger-brand carbon road bikes.

- Shimano Ultegra hydraulic disc braking is confident in all weather
−Weaknesses
- 9.3 kg is mid-weight for a carbon road bike — lighter competitors exist at similar prices

- Model appears to have been discontinued or infrequently updated post-2020
