TernQuick Haul
e-cargo
01
Origin
Launched around 2022, the Quick Haul was Tern's answer to the question: what if you wanted a Bosch cargo e-bike without paying GSD prices? It dropped the folding mechanism, the long-tail length, and the high-end brakes, keeping only what was essential — a 400 Wh Bosch motor, a compact 20-inch chassis, and a rear rack rated to 50 kg. The result is Tern's entry point for families and commuters switching from a car for errands.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Bosch Active Line Plus at an accessible price makes cargo e-biking reachable for budget-conscious buyers
- 54-105 km range is sufficient for multiple errand trips between charges
- Compact 20-inch frame manoeuvres well in city traffic and fits in tighter parking
−Weaknesses
- Non-folding limits storage options compared to GSD/Vektron — needs dedicated bike parking
- 50 Nm motor noticeably less powerful than the GSD's 85 Nm when tackling steep hills with heavy loads
- Bosch Purion display is functional but spartan compared to Kiox 300 on higher-tier Tern models
