Origin

Radon introduced the Regard Carbon as the premium tier of their gravel lineup — a full-carbon platform with an integrated cockpit and serious tire clearance. Unlike many 'gravel bikes' designed around narrow road tires, the Regard ships with 700×48 mm rubber and has clearance for ~50 mm, genuinely covering unmade roads and gravel tracks. The size-specific integrated cockpit with internally routed cables gives it a clean aesthetic without sacrificing function, and the 27.2 mm carbon seatpost uses engineered flex as a comfort tool.

The verdict

+Strengths
  • Full carbon frame and fork at a direct-to-consumer price well below comparable builds
  • 700×48 mm tires and ~50 mm clearance make it genuinely capable off-road
  • Size-specific integrated cockpit ensures proportional handling across all frame sizes
Weaknesses
  • Integrated cockpit limits handlebar swap flexibility for riders with unconventional fit requirements
  • No hydraulic dropper post routing — gravel dropper requires workarounds
  • Direct-only sales means sizing is a gamble without a test ride
