Origin
Norco is a Canadian brand (British Columbia) and the Range first launched around 2012 as a long-travel, pedal-efficient enduro machine. As trail bikes grew longer, lower and slacker, Norco completely redesigned the Range for 2022 around a virtual high-pivot rear suspension with an idler pulley and 170 mm of travel. The platform is built and raced by the Norco Factory Team, including in World Cup downhill events.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Excellent high-pivot suspension: composed and grippy in the roughest rock gardens, holds speed superbly
- Impeccable, confidence-inspiring descending geometry; very stable at speed
- Ride Aligned size-specific geometry plus a practical suspension setup guide
- Robust, high-end component spec (Fox 38 Factory, Code RSC, carbon wheels)
- Sleek carbon finish and frame construction
−Weaknesses
- Heavy (~16.6-17.2 kg), making it a leisurely, effortful climber
- Noticeable shock/suspension bob when pedalling — needs the climb switch on long ascents
- Limited agility in tight, twisty sections; demands rider effort to change direction
- Very expensive (~€9,999 / £8,999 for the C1)
- Reported rattling dropper-post cable on test bikes
