Superfoxy Carbon

Origin

Mondraker added the Superfoxy above the Foxy in its enduro lineup in 2021, targeting the maximum-travel enduro race and aggressive trail category. It shares the Zero Suspension System and Forward Geometry DNA but is tuned for longer travel, bigger hits, and more aggressive riders. The alloy Superfoxy made premium Mondraker enduro suspension accessible below the carbon price point, while the carbon builds compete directly with YT Capra, Norco Range, and Specialized Enduro.

The verdict

+Strengths
  • 170 mm fork / 160 mm rear travel with Zero Suspension efficiency — rare combination of travel and pedalling feel
  • DH-spec tires and 4-piston brakes from factory mean no immediate upgrade needs
  • Alloy version delivers the same suspension architecture as carbon at a lower price
Weaknesses
  • ~17+ kg alloy build is heavy even for a long-travel enduro bike
  • Longer travel and slack geometry compromise climbing efficiency compared to shorter-travel Foxy
  • DH-casing tires add weight — lighter tires may suit trail-focused riders
