MegamoSilk
gravel
01
Origin
The Silk is Megamo's most ambitious gravel project — a purpose-built race platform developed in collaboration with professional gravel athletes and validated at marquee events like The Traka (Girona's own 360 km gravel ultra), Unbound, and The Rift in Iceland. The SLR frame at ~940 g rivals the lightest gravel frames from any brand. The integrated cockpit and road-style seatpost make the Silk a genuine race weapon rather than an adventure tourer.

The verdict
+Strengths
- SLR frame (~940 g) and carbon fork (~435 g) deliver world-class weight for a complete gravel platform
- Proven race heritage at The Traka and Unbound gives the Silk genuine performance credibility
- Integrated carbon cockpit and 1×/2× compatibility make it highly adaptable to different race formats
−Weaknesses
- 45 mm max tire clearance is limiting for adventure-style bikepacking vs. competitors like Trek Checkpoint (up to 2.0")
- Integrated cockpit is excellent for racing but restricts easy bar swaps for touring or comfort setups
- Top-tier SLR builds carry a premium price that puts them in direct competition with Canyon, Ridley, and Specialized — stronger global brands with wider dealer networks
