Origin
The Four Corners has been Marin's dedicated bikepacking and loaded touring platform since 2015, built around the idea that a bike should handle four corners of the world as comfortably loaded as unladen. It is the most touring-oriented bike in the Marin gravel lineup, differentiated from the Nicasio by its lowrider fork mounts, six bottle cage bosses, and explicit packing DNA.

The verdict
+Strengths

- Size-matched wheel sizing ensures proper fit and tire volume for all riders
- Steel CrMo soaks up road buzz over long days loaded with gear
−Weaknesses
- Heavier than alloy or carbon alternatives -- steel touring weight is the price of durability
- Less nimble than lighter gravel bikes when ridden unloaded
- MicroShift Sword groupset is new and less proven in the field than Shimano GRX
