Origin
The El Roy is built with enduro-bike geometry on a tough 4130 CrMo frame. Its 63 degree head angle matches dedicated enduro full-suspension bikes while keeping the weight and simplicity of a hardtail.

The verdict
+Strengths
- 63 degree head angle gives genuine enduro confidence on technical descents
- CrMo steel provides natural compliance that aluminum hardtails lack
- DH-spec brakes (203mm rotors, 4-piston) are serious hardware at this price
−Weaknesses
- Steel adds weight - noticeably heavier than equivalent alloy hardtails on climbs
- Two frame sizes (Regular/Grande) limits fit precision compared to 5-size lineups
- Hardtail rear will punish on truly rowdy terrain that the slack geo invites
