Origin
The Synapse is Cannondale's endurance road platform, aimed at riders who want speed and long-day comfort rather than WorldTour aggression. The current carbon generation is 20% more compliant than its predecessor and adds two landmark features: SmartSense (a single downtube battery powering a front light, rear light, and rear-facing radar that alerts riders to approaching traffic) and a StashPort under the bottle cage for tools or the SmartSense battery. Fender mounts and generous 42-48 mm tire clearance extend its range from gran fondo to commute.
