Origin

The Stelvio is Bottecchia's aluminium hardtail mountain bike, named after the famous Alpine pass. The current 297+ version uses a hydroformed 6061 double-butted alloy frame with a Boost 12 mm thru-axle and internal routing, and swallows tires up to 2.80" on 29" wheels — making it a versatile trail and cross-country hardtail. At around 1900 g raw for a size M, it's a light, robust alloy platform built with racing geometry for demanding routes, typically paired with a 100 mm RockShox fork and Shimano 1x12 gearing.
