BassoPalta
gravel
01
Origin
The Palta is Basso's gravel flagship and, like the rest of its top range, it is made in Italy from Torayca carbon. From the start it leaned racy — slender, light and aero-optimised — placing it in the fast-gravel category alongside the BMC Kaius, Factor Ostro Gravel and Specialized Crux rather than the bikepacking crowd. Each generation has pushed it further: the Palta 3 uses a hi-mod T800/M40JB/T700 mix, drops to around 970 g for a raw frame, and opens clearance to 50 mm rear / 52 mm front while stiffening the bottom bracket and rear end for sharper power transfer.
