AtalaSLR
road
01
Origin
The SLR is Atala's road bike gateway model — aluminum hydroformed construction keeps weight and price accessible, while a Shimano-spec ladder (Claris → Sora → Tiagra) lets the lineup step up without changing the platform. Made in Italy for European and export markets through the Accell Group distribution network.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Shimano Tiagra 2x10 drivetrain on the top spec is well above the price class norm for an entry road bike
- Hydroformed 6061 aluminium feels noticeably stiffer and lighter than plain-gauge alternatives at the same price
- Atala's Italian provenance and 100+ year brand history gives the SLR genuine road-cycling credibility
−Weaknesses
- Hi-Ten steel fork adds weight and transmits more road buzz than a carbon fork would
- Rim brakes only — no disc option anywhere in the SLR range as of 2024
- Proprietary Byte component spec (rims, stem, bars) limits upgrade path compared to bikes with common-brand finishing kit
