Ghost
Origin
The Apollo Ghost was Apollo Scooters' sub-flagship dual-motor offering, produced 2020 through 2023 and discontinued when Apollo restructured its lineup around the City Pro and Phantom V3. The Ghost was widely regarded as the best-value dual-motor scooter under €2000 during its production run, repeatedly winning 'best sub-$1500 dual-motor' awards from Electric Scooter Insider, Tom's Guide, and Electrek. It hit a sweet spot between the lighter City and the heavier Phantom — same 52V architecture as the Phantom but in a lighter, simpler chassis. The Ghost is now only available used, and parts availability is limited as Apollo focuses support on current models. It remains a popular choice in second-hand listings for budget-conscious enthusiasts.

The verdict
- Powerful dual 800 W (1600 W nominal) motors with strong acceleration and excellent hill-climbing — outperforms most scooters in its price class
- Full dual-spring suspension front and rear delivers a notably comfortable ride for a sub-$1500 scooter
- Solid, mostly-metal forged aluminum construction with a reinforced anti-wobble stem and best-in-class folding mechanism
- Quality 52V battery cells that hold performance down to ~20% capacity, plus a high 300 lb (136 kg) load capacity
- Strong value: dual-motor performance and quality suspension at an affordable price relative to competitors
- Heavy at ~29 kg (64-66 lbs) — awkward to carry up stairs despite folding
- Low-mounted headlights are weak; extra lighting is needed for night riding
- Required a ~30-mile break-in period before steering felt dialed in
- Basic QS-S4 display and outdated key-lock ignition; kickstand is flimsy
- Now discontinued — limited parts availability and no manufacturer warranty on most units
